Judge Matthew George has served Ohio for more than 18 years as a judge and magistrate. A lifelong conservative and respected jurist, he has earned a reputation as a tough, fair, and principled defender of the rule of law.
He is a husband, father, and active member of Covenant Community Church. He is committed to keeping Ohio’s courts grounded in the Constitution and free from liberal activism.

Matthew grew up in Baltimore, OH and his wife, Katelyn—a former elementary school teacher—is from Richland County. They are raising their three daughters, Lydia (9), Emily (6), and Isla (3) in Newark. The George family is active in their church and committed to giving back to the community. Matthew also serves on the Board of Directors of Heartbeats crisis pregnancy centers in Newark and Zanesville.
